Seismic P-wave velocity models (netCDF format) for Hess Deep from a 2003 combined MCS/OBS survey (EW0305)
These two-dimensional velocity models are derived from inversion of ocean bottom seismometer data collected at Hess Deep during 2003 Ewing cruise EW0305. The grids of seismic P-wave velocity are in GMT-compatible netCDF format with grid parameters as follows: X values are distance in km along the profile (grid interval 0.1 km); Y values are depths in km below the sea surface (grid interval 0.1 km); Z values are P-wave velocities in km/s. The data set was generated as part of the project called "Correlation of Seismic Structure with Observed Outcrop Geology: MCS/OBS Investigation of Hess Deep and Blanco Transform", with funding from NSF award OCE01-37286.
