TN188 Backscatter:Acoustic, Bathymetry:Swath, Sidescan
Raw Acoustic Backscatter, Sidescan and Swath Bathymetry Data from the East Pacific Rise at 9N Spreading Center acquired during R/V Thomas G. Thompson expedition TN188 (2005)
This data set was acquired with a Kongsberg Maritime EM300 Multibeam Sonar during R/V Thomas G. Thompson expedition TN188 conducted in 2005 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Rachel Haymon, Investigator: Dr. Scott White). These data files are of MBSystem-compatible format and include Acoustic Backscatter, Sidescan and Swath Bathymetry data that have not been processed. This data was processed by GMRT and was included in the Global Multi-Resolution Topography (GMRT) Synthesis (version 2.0). Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Collaborative Research: Hydrothermal System Response to Magma Supply and Crustal Thickness Gradients Along the Galapagos Spreading Center, 89.5-94W. Funding was provided by NSF award(s): OCE03-26148. This data was cited by White et al., 2006.
