Processed pre-stack depth-migrated seismic reflection data from the Juan de Fuca Ridge to Trench multi-channel seismic survey (MGL1211)
This data set presents processed Multi-Channel Seismic (MCS) reflection data acquired during the Juan de Fuca (JdF) Ridge-to-Trench experiment conducted in 2012. In this experiment two ridge-to-trench transects across the Juan de Fuca plate, from Endeavour Ridge to offshore Washington state and from Axial Volcano to offshore Oregon state, and one 400 km-long trench-parallel transect extending from 44.3N to 47.8N were acquired during the 2012 R/V Langseth survey MGL1211. The seismic reflection images of the two ridge-to-trench transects reveal the sediment stratigraphy and crustal structure across the JdF plate and just seaward of the Cascadia deformation front. The files in this data set are pre-stack depth-migrated reflection stacks with advanced processing routines applied and were processed along with the CASIE21 data set. Details of the processing work flow are described in the linked data processing document. The data files are in SEG-Y format. Funding for original data acquisition was provided through NSF grants OCE 1029411 and 1029305. Results from this study are described in Carbotte et al., Science Advances, 2024.
