Images for CHIRP SEG-Y sub-bottom data from the All-American Canal near Calexico, CA, April 2019
Images in PNG format for each CHIRP line collected in the All-American Canal, April 2019, near Calexico, CA. The purpose of these data was to image deformation features in shallow sediments in the Imperial Fault system and surrounding regions, to understand strain partitioning and identify locations for geologic slip rate studies. Data are plotted with a time-varying gain, and the right-hand axis presents depth converted using a nominal water velocity of 1500m/s. Funding was provided by the Southern California Earthquake Center grant #18119.
