Processed bathymetry data (ESRI ASCII grids) acquired near-bottom along the frontal thrust of the Cascadia Margin with MBARI mapping AUVs (MAUV1 and MAUV2)
This high-resolution gridded bathymetry data set was was collected with a Reson T50-S 400 kHz multibeam sonar system on MBARI's Mapping AUVs (MAUV1 and MAUV2) for missions 20210728m1, 20210730m1, 20210801m1, 20210801m2, 20210805m1, 20210806m1, 20210815m1, 20210816m1, 20230817m1 and 20230822m2. The files are in ESRI ASCII grid format, are projected in UTM coordinates (Zone 10N), and were processed using the open-source MB-System multibeam sonar processing software. The grids have 1-meter horizontal resolution. The AUV survey missions were conducted during R/V Rachel Carson cruises along the Cascadia Margin. Data were acquired as part of a collaborative research project between MBARI and the U.S. Geological Survey. Funding for the AUV mapping was provided from the David and Lucile Packard Foundation.
