Processed bathymetry data (netCDF grids) acquired near-bottom along the frontal thrust of the Cascadia Margin with MBARI mapping AUVs (MAUV1 and MAUV2)
This high-resolution gridded bathymetry data set was acquired with a Reson T50-S 400 kHz multibeam sonar system on MBARI's Mapping AUVs (MAUV1 and MAUV2) for missions 20210728m1, 20210730m1, 20210801m1, 20210801m2, 20210805m1, 20210806m1, 20210815m1, 20210816m1, 20230817m1 and 20230822m2. The files are in GMT-compatible netCDF format, are projected in UTM coordinates (Zone 10N), and were processed using the open-source multibeam sonar processing software MB-System. The grids have 1-meter horizontal resolution. The AUV survey missions were conducted during R/V Rachel Carson cruises along the Cascadia Margin. Data were acquired as part of a collaborative research project between MBARI and the U.S. Geological Survey. Funding for the AUV mapping was provided from the David and Lucile Packard Foundation.
