Sound velocity data (ASCII format) from central Long Island Sound, LIS Phase IV seafloor mapping, August-December 2022
These sound velocity data files were collected at three survey sites called LIS4-East, LIS4-West-C, and LIS4-West-NS with an AML-3 LGR SVP 500m sound velocity profiler equipped with depth, SV and CTD sensors. The surveys were done aboard R/Vs Connecticut and Seawolf in August, September and November-December, 2022 in support of the Long Island Sound Cable Fund Seafloor Habitat Mapping Initiative, Phase IV. The survey areas are located south of New Haven, CT. The ASCII data files contain depth (m) and sound velocity (m/s). This study was supported by Contract Number NORTHE8361-001 issued to Stony Brook University by DEEP - Land & Water Resources Division (LWRD), 79 Elm Street, Hartford, CT 06106-5127.
