Velocity model navigation files (ASCII format) for the Blanco Transform Fault from a 2004 MCS survey (EW0410)
This data set presents the navigation data for two-dimensional seismic P-wave velocity models derived from full-waveform inversion of multichannel seismic data collected at the Blanco Transform Fault during 2004 Ewing cruise EW0410. The velocity model navigation files are in ASCII format and relate the model distance to (latitude, longitude) coordinates. The files contain three columns: Model distance along the profile (km); Latitude (degrees); Longitude (degrees). The data set was generated as part of the projects called "Correlation of Seismic Structure with Observed Outcrop Geology: MCS/OBS Investigation of Hess Deep and Blanco Transform" and "Seismic Waveform Inversion Study of the Layer 2A/2B Boundary in Young Oceanic Crust", with funding from NSF awards OCE01-37286 and OCE08-53523 and NERC award NE/F010443/1.
