Moho interface models (netCDF format) from a 2005 Chicxulub Crater seismic study (EW0501)
These Moho interface models were derived from a seismic velocity model generated for the Chicxulub Crater. The data were acquired in 2005 using airgun shots from Maurice Ewing cruise EW0501 that were recorded by OBSs and land seismometers. The interface grids are in GMT-compatible netCDF format with grid x=latitude, y=longitude, z=depth in km. The grid called moho_flattest_masked_ll.grd represents the inversion for the flattest (most horizontal) interface that fits data. The grid called moho_smoothest_masked_ll.grd is the inversion for the smoothest interface that fits data. The data set was generated as part of the project called: Imaging and Modeling Impact Generated Deformation at the Chicxulub Crater, Joint US/UK/Mexico Investigation and IODP Site Survey. Funding was provided through NSF award OCE02-21101.
