FK190612 Backscatter:Acoustic, Bathymetry:Swath, Sidescan
Processed EM710 acoustic backscatter and swath bathymetry data acquired during 2019 Falkor expedition FK190612 offshore Washington state and Oregon
This data set was acquired with a Kongsberg Maritime EM710 Multibeam Sonar during the 2019 R/V Falkor expedition FK190612 investigating the Cascadia subduction zone deformation front offshore Washington state and Oregon. These data files are in MBSystem-compatible format and include acoustic backscatter and swath bathymetry data that were processed after data acquisition using QPS Qimera for swath editing and incorporating XBT sound velocity profiles. This data was processed by U.S. Geological Survey personnel and was included in the Global Multi-Resolution Topography (GMRT) Synthesis (version 4.1.1). Funding was provided by Schmidt Ocean Institute and U.S. Dept of Energy - USGS Interagency Agreement DE-FE0023495 to examine Cascadia margin seep dynamics and processes at different locations and on several timescales during the June 2019 cruise.
