AT50-21 Backscatter:Optical, Magnetic:Field, Navigation, Oxygen, Temperature
Images of Underway Near-Bottom AUV Magnetic Field, Navigation, Optical Backscatter, Oxygen and Temperature Data from the East Pacific Rise at 9N Spreading Center Segment, acquired during R/V Atlantis expedition AT50-21 (2024)
This data set was acquired with a Seapoint Sensors, Inc. Optical Backscatter Sensor, Navigation System,Sea-Bird Electronics SBE-49 FastCAT CTD, 1540 Magnetometer and Aanderaa Data Instruments 4330 Oxygen Optode Sensor on AUV Sentry during R/V Atlantis expedition AT50-21 conducted in 2024 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Jill McDermott, Investigators: Dr. Jill McDermott, Dr. Daniel Fornari). These data files are of PNG format and include Magnetic Field, Navigation, Optical Backscatter, Oxygen and Temperature data that were processed after acquisition. Data were acquired as part of the project: Collaborative Research: Monitoring hydrothermal fluids, crustal permeability and seafloor morphology in preparation for the next volcanic eruption at the East Pacific Rise, 9'50"N. Funding was provided by NSF Award: OCE19-49485.
