TowCam seafloor photographs (JPEG format) at Incipient Rift, Galapagos Triple Junction (VANC01MV, 2002)

These seafloor photos were collected along a minor rift originating at the East Pacific Rise (EPR) at 2°40'N continuing southeastward for ~65 km. The pictures were taken by a digital camera mounted on the WHOI TowCam sled during 2002 R/V Melville cruise VANC01MV. The files are in JPEG image format. They were collected as part of a project called Geochemical and Geological Investigations of the Incipient Rift at 2° 40'N, East of the East Pacific Rise. Funding was provided by NSF awards OCE00-96360 and OCE00-99154.
