Gridded bathymetric data around Pico, Faial, and Sao Jorge islands, Azores (2003 survey)
This processed bathymetric grid was generated from multibeam sonar data collected with a Reson SeaBat 8160 echo-sounder system in 2003 on R/V Arquipelago (investigators Neil Mitchell and Fernando Tempera). The echo-sounder was attached to a temporary mount under the bow of the vessel. The processed bathymetry data is gridded at 100m resolution and the data file is in GMT-compatible netCDF grid format. The data exhibited some cross-track corrugations due to a non-rigid mounting of the transducers but this effect is reduced at the 100m grid spacing.
