Seismic:Reflection:MCS
Processed multichannel seismic data across Hydrate Ridge, Cascadia convergent margin, northwest Pacific, acquired during the R/V Maurice Ewing survey EW0203 (2002)
This 3-D survey was conducted at the Hydrate Ridge, Cascadia convergent margin, northwest Pacific. The seismic experiment used the R/V Maurice Ewing and the Joides Resolution to collect multichannel seismic (MCS) data, vertical seismic profile (VSP) data, and ocean-bottom seismometer (OBS) data. This cruise was designed to acquire three sets of seismic data to map the elastic properties of gas hydrates. This was a three-part project to examine gas hydrate properties in the vicinity of an Ocean Drilling Program set of wells. Funded by NSF grant OCE0002487.
