Hypocentral earthquake estimates of seismic events recorded on Axial Seamount from January, 2015 through November, 2015 (investigators: Adrien F. Arnulf, Alistair Harding, Graham Kent, William Wilcock)
Hypocentral earthquake estimates span the time period January 2015 through November 2015 and were recorded by the seismic network at the summit of Axial Seamount of the Ocean Observatories Initiative cabled array. We applied a 3-D grid-search algorithm to the earthquake catalog from Wilcock et al., (2016) with a minimum of 10 arrival times including at least 3 S-wave times, for a total of 51,197 events. The data file is in ASCII format and contains 13 columns (x-local-coordinate, y-local-coordinate, z-local-coordinate, longitude, latitude, RMS misfit, magnitude, day, month, year, hour, minute, second). The included Matlab script can be used to plot the data set. Funding was provided by NSF grants OCE13-57076 and OCE15-36219.
