Magnetic anomaly data compilation, East Pacific Rise, 12N-16N (2011, investigator Marie-Helene Cormier)
Magnetic anomaly data compiled for the East Pacific Rise between 12N-16N. The compilation is based upon 70 shipboard magnetic surveys. Over 5,000 track crossovers were analysed and processing was done to minimise the crossover least squares errors. The data was gridded at an interval of 0.5 arc minute (about 900 m) using a continuous curvature spline algorithm. The data set is cited in Cormier et al., 2011. The data file is in netCDF:GMT grid format and was generated as part of the project called Kinematic and Gravity Study of the Northern East Pacific Rise and Its Flanks: Propagating Ridges and Melt Supply. Funding was provided by NSF award OCE96-29903.
