Marine Geoscience Data System
JdF:Axial_Caress Interpretation:Geologic:Fault/Fissure, Interpretation:Geologic:LavaFlow
Interpreted outlines (version 1) as ASCII points of the 2011 lava flows and eruptive fissures at Axial Seamount, Juan de Fuca Ridge (investigator David Caress)
A newer version (v2) of this data set now exists as DOI 10.1594/IEDA/324416. The v1 outlines of the 2011 lava flows and fissures were published in Caress et al. (2012). This geological interpretation was created using submersible observations, multibeam sonar data, and MBARI AUV high-resolution bathymetry. The data files are in ASCII format in geographic projection and were generated with funding from MBARI, NOAA/PMEL, and NSF grants OCE07-25605 and OCE10-61176.
