Processed Gridded Near-bottom Multibeam Sonar Data (version 2) from the NW Rota-1 Volcano along the Izu-Bonin-Mariana Trench acquired during the Kilo Moana expedition KM1005 (2010)
This data set was acquired with a Simrad SM2000 Multibeam Sonar system on the ROV Jason II during Kilo Moana expedition KM1005 conducted in 2010 (Chief Scientist: Dr. William Chadwick). These data files are of ASCII:ESRI format and include gridded Bathymetry data that were processed after data collection. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Collaborative Research: Strombolian eruptions, magma degassing, and hydrothermal discharge at an active submarine arc volcano, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): OCE07-51776.
