Processed ship-based Multibeam Sonar Data (version 2) acquired off the coast of Papua New Guinea during the Melville expedition VANC28MV (2004)
This data set was acquired with a ship-based SeaBeam 2000 Multibeam Sonar system during Melville expedition VANC28MV conducted in 2004 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Charles Nittrouer). These data files are of MBSystem format and include Swath Bathymetry data and were processed by the GMRT Team using the open source MB-System multibeam sonar processing software. These data are included in the GMRT Synthesis, version 1. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Processes Controlling Depositional Signals of Environmental Change in the Fly River Sediment Dispersal System and Transition season cruise, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): OCE02-03351.
