Processed backscatter data (GeoTIFF image format) for the Aleutian arc (AT50-38, 2025)

This data set contains processed backscatter data collected using a Kongsberg EM124 multibeam system at the Aleutian arc during 2025 R/V Atlantis survey AT50-38. The file is in GeoTIFF image format and has a horizontal resolution of 25m. This data set was generated as part of the project called "The Aleutian Arc: Integrated Exploration of Biodiversity and Priority Benthic Habitats". Funding was provided by NOAA Ocean Exploration (largely through its Ocean Exploration Fiscal Year 2023 Funding Opportunity), the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, and NOAA Integrated Ocean and Coastal Mapping via the NOAA Ocean Exploration Cooperative Institute. Additional support came from the Office of Naval Research through the National Oceanographic Partnership Program and the U.S. Geological Survey Land Management Research Program, Coastal and Marine Hazards and Resources Program, and Volcano Hazards Program.
