AT42-21 Magnetic:Field
Raw Near-Bottom HOV Magnetic Field Data from the East Pacific Rise at 9N Spreading Center Segment, acquired during R/V Atlantis expedition AT42-21 (2019)
This data set was acquired with a Honeywell HMR2300 Magnetometer on Submersible Alvin during R/V Atlantis expedition AT42-21 conducted in 2019 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Jason Sylvan). These data files are of Text File (ASCII) format and include Magnetic Field data that have not been processed. Data were acquired as part of the projects: Collaborative Research: From hot to cold in the dark - shifts in seafloor massive sulfide microbial communities as physical and geochemical conditions change after venting ceases; Trajectories in functional diversity after disturbance at vents on the East Pacific Rise. Funding was provided by NSF Awards: OCE17-56339, OCE18-29773.
