Santa Monica 800 m Mound MBARI Mapping AUV near-bottom processed swath bathymetry gridded data (netCDF format) at 1 m resolution (2006-2018)
This processed swath bathymetry data set of the actively-seeping Santa Monica 800 m Mound offshore of Southern California is in GMT-compatible netCDF format with 1 m lateral resolution, and is in geographic coordinates. This data set was collected with the MBARI Mapping AUVs on R/V Rachel Carson cruises in 2006, 2010, 2013, and 2018 (investigators David Caress, Charles K. Paull, Eve Lundsten, Jennifer Paduan), using a Reson 7125 400 kHz multibeam sonar and the AUV flying at 50 m above the seafloor. Funding was provided by a grant from the David and Lucile Packard Foundation to MBARI.
