Processed CTD data, Eastern Tropical South Pacific (ETSP) oxygen minimum zone (OMZ) survey (2024, FKt240412)
This data set presents processed CTD data collected with a Seabird SBE-911+ system in the Eastern Tropical South Pacific (ETSP) oxygen minimum zone (OMZ) during 2024 Falkor (too) cruise FKt240412. The data files are in ASCII CNV format. The data set was generated as part of the "Microbes in Oxygen Minimum Zones" project which aimed to enhance our understanding of regions characterized by extremely low oxygen levels, often approaching anoxic conditions, and their impact on the composition and function of the complex microbial communities. Data from this project will contribute to the development of more accurate regional models to predict the future evolution of OMZs under changing climate conditions. Funding was provided by Schmidt Ocean Institute.
