Processed CHIRP SEG-Y sub-bottom data from the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, CA, October 2017
CHIRP sub-bottom data were collected in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, CA in October 2017. The purpose of these data was to image any deformation features in the shallow sediments associated with faults in the region and identify locations for sediment sampling. These sub-bottom data files are in SEG-Y format and were collected with an Edgetech 3200-XS SB-512i instrument in a floating frame towed by a pontoon boat with the bottom of the transducer ~1 meter below water surface. Data were lightly processed, including match filtering onboard the instrument, and computing the envelope of the correlate. Navigation in the header is in arc minmutes with a scaler of 10,000. For conversion to decimal degrees, divide navigation values by 600,000. Gas throughout the data set disrupts the signal. Funding was provided by the Delta Stewardship Council Delta Science Program under Grant #1167.
