Marine Geoscience Data System
RC2901 Bathymetry:Swath
Processed ship-based Multibeam Sonar Data (version 2) acquired off the coast of Chile during the Robert D. Conrad expedition RC2901 (1988)
This data set was acquired with a ship-based SeaBeam Classic Multibeam Sonar system during Robert D. Conrad expedition RC2901 conducted in 1988 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Steve Cande). These data files are of MBSystem format and include Swath Bathymetry data and were processed by the GMRT Team using the open source MB-System multibeam sonar processing software as part of the GMRT Synthesis effort. These data are included in the GMRT Synthesis, version 1. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Paleogene Geomagnetic Polarity Timescale, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): OCE86-14508 and OCE85-11388.
