Marine Geoscience Data System
RC2602 Bathymetry:Swath
Processed ship-based Multibeam Sonar Data (version 2) acquired along the Mid-Atlantic Ridge Spreading Center and in the southern Atlantic Ocean during the Robert D. Conrad expedition RC2602 (1985)
This data set was acquired with a ship-based SeaBeam Classic Multibeam Sonar system during Robert D. Conrad expedition RC2602 conducted in 1985 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Norman Cherkis). These data files are of MBSystem format and include Swath Bathymetry data and were processed by the at-sea science party and the GMRT Team using the open source MB-System multibeam sonar processing software. These data are included in the GMRT Synthesis, version 1. Funding was provided by NSF grant(s): N00014-84-C-2425.
