Marine Geoscience Data System
NBP0505 Bathymetry, Conductivity, Fluorescence, Meteorological, Radiation:Infrared, Radiation:Visible, Salinity, Temperature
USAP:Funded
Underway Hydrographic, Weather and Ship-state Data (JGOFS) from Nathaniel B. Palmer expedition NBP0505 (2005)
This data set was acquired with a ship-based ODEC Bathy2000 Echosounder Sonar, Turner Designs 10-AU-005 Fluorometer, Meteorological Sensor, Kongsberg EM120 Multibeam Sonar system, Navigation system, Thermosalinograph, and Fluorometer during Nathaniel B. Palmer expedition NBP0505 conducted in 2005 (Chief Scientist: Dr. John Anderson; Investigator(s): Dr. John Anderson and Dr. Bernard Hallet). These data files are of JGOFS format and include Salinity, Conductivity, Temperature, Bathymetry, Meteorological, Fluorescence, Visible Radiation, and Infrared Radiation data. This data set was created from calibrated data decimated at 1-minute intervals. Several fields are derived measurements from more than a single raw input. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Collaborative Research: Controls on Sediment Yields from Tidewater Glaciers from Patagonia to Antarctica, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): OPP03-38137 and OPP03-38371.
