Multibeam bathymetry data collected at the Central America subduction zone during Melville cruise VANC02MV (2002, investigator Andrew Fisher)
This multibeam bathymetry data was collected using a SeaBeam 2000 sonar system. The files are in MBSystem format and were edited to remove bad beams and outliers. The data set was generated as part of the project called The Thermal State of 20-25 Ma Lithosphere Subducting at the Costa Rica Margin, Implications for Hydrogeology, Fluxes, and the Seismogenic Zone. Funding was provided by NSF awards OCE00-01941, OCE00-01944, OCE00-02031, and OCE00-01892.
