Marine Geoscience Data System
AT03-56 Backscatter:Acoustic, Bathymetry:Swath, Sidescan
Processed Swath Bathymetry, Sidescan, and Acoustic Backscatter derived from ship-based Multibeam Sonar Data from the Juan de Fuca Spreading Center acquired during Atlantis expedition AT03-56 (2000)
This data set was acquired with a ship-based SeaBeam 2112 Multibeam Sonar system during Atlantis expedition AT03-56 conducted in 2000 (Chief Scientist: Dr. John Delaney). These data files are of MBSystem-compatible format and include Swath Bathymetry, Sidescan, and Acoustic Backscatter data and were processed at sea using the open source MB-System multibeam sonar processing software. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Perturbed 2000: In Situ Time-Series Experiments to Define Thermal And Compositional Variability in Tidally-Perturbed Submarine Hydrothermal Systems, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): OCE98-20105.
