Marine Geoscience Data System
AT03-53 Backscatter:Acoustic, Bathymetry:Swath, Sidescan
Raw Acoustic Backscatter, Swath Bathymetry, and Sidescan derived from ship-based Multibeam Sonar Data from the Juan de Fuca Spreading Center - Main Endeavour Vent Field (MEF) acquired during Atlantis expedition AT03-53 (2000)
This data set was acquired with a ship-based SeaBeam 2112 Multibeam Sonar system during Atlantis expedition AT03-53 conducted in 2000 (Chief Scientist: Dr. John Delaney). These data files are of MBSystem-compatible format and include Acoustic Backscatter, Swath Bathymetry, and Sidescan data that have not been processed. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Perturbed 2000: In Situ Time-Series Experiments to Define Thermal And Compositional Variability in Tidally-Perturbed Submarine Hydrothermal Systems, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): OCE98-20105.
