Processed CHIRP data off Port Aransas, Texas, acquired during the R/V Manta survey MGL1201 (2012)
This 2012 R/V Manta survey investigated the area off Port Aransas, Texas, collecting 24-channel seismic reflection data and CHIRP data. This expedition served as part of a field course designed to provide hands-on instruction for graduate and upper-level undergraduate students in the collection and processing of marine geological and geophysical data. Paradigm's Focus software was used to process the CHIRP data. Steps included: heave filtering, tide and fish depth corrections, trace equalization, and water column muting. Funded by the Jackson School of Geosciences, University of Texas at Austin.
