ENAM-Land Seismic Reflection/Refraction
Seismic:WideAngle
Explosion seismic refraction data acquired on land in eastern North Carolina and Virgina as part of the Eastern North American Margin (ENAM) Community Seismic Experiment (CSE) (2015)
Part of the Eastern North American Margin (ENAM) Community Seismic Experiment (CSE), the ENAM land experiment collected explosion seismic refraction data by firing 11 shots along the two lines: 6 along Line 2 (southern line) and 5 along Line 1 (northern line) and recording the onshore active-source seismic data on 700+ RefTek 125 digitizers (Texans) and sensors. The goal was obtain data on the crustal and upper mantle structures that will be used interpret the tectonic evolution of the passive margin and of the opening of the Atlantic Ocean. Funded by NSF grants OCE13-48124 and OCE13-47024.
