Processed sub-bottom CHIRP data from the Alaska-Aleutians area acquired during Langseth cruise MGL1903 (2019)
This data set was acquired with the Knudsen 3260 3.5kHz CHIRP system during the 2019 R/V Marcus G. Langseth cruise MGL1903 (Co-Chief Scientists: Anne Becel and Geoff Abers. Investigators: David Foster, Anne Becel, Anne Sheehan, Emma Myers, Peter Haeussler, Geoff Abers, Aubreya Adams, Emily Roland, Susan Schwartz, Donna Shillington, Spahr Webb, Douglas Wiens, Lindsay Worthington). The data files are in SEG-Y format and contain sub-bottom data that has been processed. SIOSies software was used to remove sea-surface swell (heave) from the trace data. Swell filtering was applied only to data collected on the shelf and shelf break. 8-bit gray scale PNG images of the swell filtered data were also created for browsing purposes. See the associated Knudsen data processing report in this data set for more details of the data processing steps. The data set was generated as part of the project called the Alaska Amphibious Community Seismic Experiment (AACSE). Funding was provided by NSF award OCE16-54568.
