Bathymetry gridded data for the Lido inlet, Venice Lagoon, (2011 survey)
This high-resolution (0.5m resolution) gridded bathymetry data set was collected during September and October 2011 in the Lido inlet (Venice Lagoon) using a Kongsberg Simrad EM 3002 MBES system. The operational frequency for this survey was set at 300 kHz. A Kongsberg Seatex Seapath 300 positioning system, with NRTK correction for the first part of the survey and with OMNISTAR Land corrections for the second part of the survey, was used for ship positioning. Tidal correction of bathymetric data was based on the vertical datum of Punta Salute (1897) (ZMPS - Zero Mareografico Punta Salute) used locally as reference for the tidal measurements. The data was collected aboard small boat MBN1206 of the Hydrographic Office of Italian Navy. The bathymetry data was processed with CARIS HIPS&SIPS to account for sound velocity profiles, tide corrections, and manual quality control. The data file is in the ESRI ASCII grid format, WGS-84, UTM zone 33N.
