MGL1309 Gravity:Anomaly:MantleBouguer
Processed Gravity Mantle Bouguer Anomaly gridded data, Reykjanes Ridge, Langseth cruise MGL1309 (2013, investigators Fernando Martinez and Richard Hey)
Processed gravity mantle Bouguer anomaly (MBA) data derived from forward-modelled bathymetry data assuming a 6-km-thick crust and density contrast of 1670 kg/m3 at the seafloor and 600 kg/m3 at the Moho. The forward-calculated gravity values were subtracted from the free-air gravity anomaly data to yield the MBA. The gravity survey was conducted at the southern end of the Reykjanes Ridge, a segment of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, in 2013 during Langseth cruise MGL1309 (investigators Fernando Martinez and Richard Hey). The data file is in netCDF:GMT grid format and was generated as part of the project called Test Between Thermal and Tectonic Hypotheses for North Atlantic Seafloor Spreading Geometry Reorganization. Funding was provided by NSF award OCE11-54071.
