Processed Swath Bathymetry Data from the Loihi Seamount acquired during R/V Falkor expedition FK140625 (2014)
This data set was acquired with a Kongsberg Maritime EM302 Multibeam Sonar during R/V Falkor expedition FK140625 conducted in 2014 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Brian Glazer). These data files are of MBSystem-compatible format and include Swath Bathymetry data that were processed after acquisition. This data was quality controlled by Mollie Celnick of the MGDS Team for inclusion in the Global Multi-Resolution Topography (GMRT) Synthesis (version 3.2). Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Upgrade of an in situ electrochemical analyzer (ISEA); Collaborative Research: Characterization of Microbial Transformations in Basement Fluids, from Genes to Geochemical Cycling; Redox dynamics resulting from chemical and physical fluxes in surficial permeable sediments; Automated instrumentation for chemical oceanography based on sequential injection lab-on-valve technology. Ship time was provided by Schmidt Ocean Institute and additional funding was provided by NSF Award(s): OCE10-31947, OCE10-61827, OCE12-35101, OCE13-54000.
