Marine Geoscience Data System
KM1005 Bathymetry
Processed EM122 Swath Bathymetry Grids (NetCDF:GMT format) derived from ship-based Multibeam Sonar Data from the Izu-Bonin-Mariana Arc: Mariana: NW_Rota-1 Volcano to Esmeralda Seamount (20m grid) and Esmeralda to SW of Guam (40m grid) acquired during the Kilo Moana expedition KM1005 (2010)
This data set was acquired with a ship-based Kongsberg EM122 Multibeam Sonar system during Kilo Moana expedition KM1005 conducted in 2010 (Chief Scientist: Dr. William Chadwick). These data files are of NetCDF Grid format and include gridded Swath Bathymetry data and were processed after data collection. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Collaborative Research: Strombolian eruptions, magma degassing, and hydrothermal discharge at an active submarine arc volcano, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): OCE07-51776.
