Processed ship-based Multibeam Sonar Data (version 2) acquired along the Central America Subduction Zone during the Melville expedition NEMO04MV (2000)
This data set was acquired with a ship-based SeaBeam 2000 Multibeam Sonar system during Melville expedition NEMO04MV conducted in 2000 (Chief Scientist: Dr. LeRoy Dorman). These data files are of MBSystem format and include Swath Bathymetry data and were processed by the GMRT Team using the open source MB-System multibeam sonar processing software as part of the GMRT Synthesis effort. These data are included in the GMRT Synthesis, version 2.0. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): New Millenium Observatory (NeMO), Leg 4, Benthic Flux Meter Study Across the Costa Rica Margin, and Imaging the Seismogenic Zone with Geodesy and Seismology: Two Land-Ocean Transects Across Costa Rica and the Middle America Trench, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): OCE99-05469, OCE99-07201, OCE99-10350, and OCE99-10609.
