Cliff just to the east of traverse has 50 m of relief. The traversed turned westward over deeper (~2660 m) seafloor near 20deg 4.5min S, towards rifted cluster of cones at 20deg 4.8min S. The traverse then headed towards the western wall of the rift valley wall, ending near a small "peak" ~20 m high.

Camera will traverse obliquely down west wall from approx 2550 m down to 2700 m and will then traverse to the northeast traversing hummocky volcanic terrain and then following the axial rift to the NNE through a small split cone that appears to have a small pit crater in it. Objective is to characterize the volcanic terrain in the axial rift in this area and to prospect for hydrothermal vents in the area around the split cone.
