IEDA Policy and User Committees

MGDS is part of the IEDA Data Facility, a community-driven data facility with a formal governance structure consisting of a Policy Committee and a User Committee. These committees provide critical guidance for the planning, prioritization, and implementation of IEDA's services, policies, community involvement, and partnerships.

As always, we welcome suggestions and feedback from members of our user community, please contact us to provide your input. In addition, we periodically solicit feedback through targeted user surveys, please subscribe to the IEDA mailing list to receive announcements about surveys, new developments, and upcoming workshops & meetings.

An Advisory Committee was established in 2004 to meet annually and review progress of the project components of the Marine Geoscience Data System and its partner the EarthChem. This page provides information about past Advisory Committee Information including Members, Meeting Agendas and Presentations. For current information on Governance, including information about committee members and committee activities, please visit the IEDA Governance page.
