Processed seismic reflection data from profile P1 of the 1996 EW9601 seismic survey
This data set presents processed Multi-Channel Seismic (MCS) reflection data in segy format. The 1996 EW9601 seismic survey gathered MCS data with the R/V Maurice Ewing along a transect spanning the southern shelf of the South Island of New Zealand. A single profile, P1, crossing the Puysegur subduction zone, was recovered and re-processed from the original field data. EW9601_p1_shots.sgy contains a minimal amount of processing and represents the recovered shots from the original raw field data converted to SEG-Y format with corrected headers. EW9601_edited_shots.sgy contains cleaned shot gathers in SEG-Y format with filtering, noise removal, and bad channels killed (see related image file for before/after). EW9601_radon_cdps.segy contains sorted CDP gathers in SEG-Y format with radon multiple suppression applied (see related image file for before/after). EW9601_PSTM.sgy represents a final pre-stack time-migrated reflection gather in SEG-Y format which was migrated using the related EW9601_intervels_updated.txt interval velocity model (see related image for comparison of this PSTM gather to original time-migrated gather).
