EPR:12N-16N_Cormier Gravity:Anomaly:FreeAir
Gravity Free-Air Anomaly data compilation, East Pacific Rise, 12N-16N (2011, investigator Marie-Helene Cormier)
Gravity free-air anomaly data compiled for the East Pacific Rise between 12N-16N. The compilation is based upon 21 shipboard gravity surveys for which crossover error analysis was performed to minimise the errors in a least squares sense. For areas of seafloor older than about 2 Ma, shipboard data values were replaced with satellite-derived free-air gravity data. The compiled data was gridded at an interval of 0.5 arc minute (about 900 m) using a continuous curvature spline algorithm. The data set is cited in Cormier et al., 2011. The data file is in netCDF:GMT grid format and was generated as part of the project called Kinematic and Gravity Study of the Northern East Pacific Rise and Its Flanks: Propagating Ridges and Melt Supply. Funding was provided by NSF award OCE96-29903.
