Abstract:
This data set was acquired with a Navigation System,Sea-Bird Electronics SBE-49 FastCAT CTD and Aanderaa Data Instruments 5331 Oxygen Optode Sensor on Submersible Alvin during R/V Atlantis expedition AT42-21 conducted in 2019 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Jason Sylvan). These data files are of NDSF SCC Text File (ASCII) format and include Conductivity, Navigation, Oxygen, Pressure, Sound Velocity and Temperature data that were processed after acquisition and sampled at 1Hz. Data were acquired as part of the projects: Collaborative Research: From hot to cold in the dark - shifts in seafloor massive sulfide microbial communities as physical and geochemical conditions change after venting ceases; Trajectories in functional diversity after disturbance at vents on the East Pacific Rise. Funding was provided by NSF Awards: OCE17-56339, OCE18-29773.
