Abstract:
This high-resolution gridded bathymetry data set was acquired with a Reson T50-S 400 kHz Multibeam sonar system in 2021 on MBARI's Mapping AUV (MAUV1) on missions 20210728m1, 20210801m1, and MBARI's Mapping AUV (MAUV2) on mission 20210801m2. The file is ESRI ASCII grid format, projected in UTM coordinates (Zone 10N), and was processed using the open-source MB-System multibeam sonar processing software. The grid has 1-meter horizontal resolution. The AUV survey missions were conducted during the 2021 R/V Rachel Carson cruise along the Cascadia Margin. Cruise Chief Scientists - David Caress, Charles Paull; PI - Jenna Hill; and, investigators: Jenifer B. Paduan, Eve Lundsten and Janet Watt. Data were acquired as part of a collaborative research project between MBARI and the U.S. Geological Survey. Funding for the AUV mapping was provided from the David and Lucile Packard Foundation.
