Abstract:
This high-resolution gridded bathymetry data set was acquired with a Reson T50-S 400 kHz Multibeam sonar system in 2021 on MBARI's Mapping AUV (MAUV1) on missions 20210728m1, 20210801m1, and MBARI's Mapping AUV (MAUV2) on mission 20210801m2. The file is in GMT-compatible netCDF format, is projected in UTM coordinates (Zone 10N), and was processed using the open-source multibeam sonar processing software MB-System. The grid has 1-meter horizontal resolution. The AUV survey missions were conducted during the 2021 R/V Rachel Carson cruise along the Cascadia Margin. Cruise Chief Scientists - David Caress, Charles Paull; PI - Jenna Hill; and, investigators: Jenifer B. Paduan, Eve Lundsten and Janet Watt. Data were acquired as part of a collaborative research project between MBARI and the U.S. Geological Survey. Funding for the AUV mapping was provided from the David and Lucile Packard Foundation.
