Abstract:
This data set presents the navigation data for two-dimensional seismic P-wave velocity models derived from inversion of ocean bottom seismometer data collected at Hess Deep during 2003 Ewing cruise EW0305. The velocity model navigation files are in ASCII format and relate the model distance to (latitude, longitude) coordinates. The files contain three columns: Model distance along the profile (km); Latitude (degrees); Longitude (degrees). The data set was generated as part of the project called "Correlation of Seismic Structure with Observed Outcrop Geology: MCS/OBS Investigation of Hess Deep and Blanco Transform", with funding from NSF award OCE01-37286.
