Abstract:
These KMZ-formatted files provide species presence/absence data for the Long Island Sound Phase IIB study areas (Phase I and II). The map files provide the locations and other metadata of seafloor images that were analyzed, including those from diver-acquired images (historic and modern), modern PISSAH images, and ROV videos (historic). The historic ROV metadata is more comprehensive, including the name of the Principal Investigators, bottom type, support vessel and log book comments. There is also a map file of the image analysis results from a 2018 SEABOSS survey. Funding was provided by the Long Island Sound Cable Fund Seafloor Habitat Mapping Initiative administered cooperatively by the EPA Long Island Sound Study and the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP).
