Abstract:
This data set presents the relocated OBS receiver locations and navigation data for the 2-D seismic P-wave velocity model derived from inversion of refraction and reflection travel times for the incoming Cocos plate outboard of the Guerrero Gap and neighboring segments of the Mexico subduction zone. The data file is in comma-separated ASCII text format with the columns arranged as follows: OBS name, longitude (deg), latitude (deg), model distance along the profile (x). The data was generated as part of the project called Quantifying incoming plate hydration and role of fluids on megathrust properties in and around the Guerrero Gap, offshore Mexico. Funding was provided through NSF awards OCE20-16062, OCE20-16056 and OCE20-16057.
