Processed seafloor bathymetry data compilation (netCDF grids) for the Cascadia region (Merle, 2025)
Abstract:
This bathymetry compilation was derived from 28 cruises on 10 different ships using hull-mounted Kongsberg EM302, EM710, and EM122 systems. The files presented here are in GMT-compatible netCDF grid format. This compilation endeavour is the fulfillment of a commitment made to the seeps community at AGU 2024. It adds another 22 surveys to the Merle et al., 2021 compilation of co-registered multibeam seafloor and water column data (bubble stream locations) on the US Cascadia margin. Funding for data collection came from various sources including Ocean Exploration Trust (OET), Schmidt Ocean Institute, and NOAA Ocean Exploration Program.
