Abstract:
This data set was generated as part of a seismic study of the Yakutat terrane in southern Alaska. The data were acquired in 2008 using airgun shots from Langseth cruise MGL0814 that were recorded by OBSs and land seismometers. The grid of seismic P-wave velocity is in GMT-compatible netCDF format. The x-coordinate is profile distance in km (grid interval 0.5 km), the y-coordinate is depth in km (grid interval 0.125 km), and the z-values are P-wave velocities in km/s. The data set was generated as part of the ST. Elias Erosion/tectonics Project (STEEP), with funding provided through NSF award EAR04-08584.
